The small print, in full

Plain-language rules for using CheapRelay. Topping up or calling the API means you accept them.

§ 1 — What we sell

CheapRelay is an independent relay. We forward your API calls to upstream model providers and bill you per token at the prices on the price list.

We are not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or any other model vendor.

§ 2 — Your account and keys

An API key works like a password for your balance: anyone holding it can spend it.

Losses from a leaked, shared or resold key are yours. Void a key in the dashboard as soon as you suspect a leak.

§ 3 — Paying and spending

The service is prepaid. Your balance is credit for API calls, not a cash deposit, and it does not expire.

Each call is charged after it finishes, using the token counts the upstream reports. When a reply carries no usage data we charge an estimate of 2,000 input plus 2,000 output tokens and mark the call as estimated.

The last call may take a balance at most ¥1 below zero; after that, calls stop until you top up.

§ 4 — Refunds

Unused balance can be refunded within 12 days of the top-up. We deduct what was already spent and the payment provider's fee.

Top-ups older than 12 days and credit already spent are not refundable. Sign-up credit and referral rewards are never refunded, and once rewards are moved into the balance they cannot be cashed out (withdrawing rewards has its own rules in the dashboard).

Ask through the contact page or a dashboard message. Refund requests are handled within three working days.

§ 5 — Uptime

We work to keep the relay running but cannot promise 100% availability; upstream outages happen.

We are not liable for indirect losses caused by delays, outages or changes made upstream.

§ 6 — Fair use

Use the service lawfully and within the usage policies of the upstream providers.

Accounts used for abuse, fraud or illegal content are switched off without refund.

§ 7 — Model output

Answers come from third-party models and can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.

§ 8 — What we record

For each call we keep the model, token counts, price and time. We also keep the text you send (never the model's replies) for 30 days, for abuse review and support, and then delete it.

A raw-request capture for debugging exists but is off by default. If we ever switch it on for an account to chase a problem, it records a limited number of requests and then turns itself off.

Your login details, cookies and IP address are never passed to the upstream providers.

§ 9 — Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
